Users can charge their vehicles at charging stations included in Petrol’s charging service in several different ways. The video demonstrates all available charging methods.
In general, users are divided into registered and non-registered users. The charging methods available for each user type are listed below. By clicking the “+” sign, a detailed written and video step-by-step guide will open.

Charging with Registration
OneCharge Mobile Application
The video guides you through the following steps:
Register in the OneCharge app (if you do not already have a user account).
Check the charging instructions displayed on the charging station, as they may vary from one station to another.
Select the connector you wish to use and plug it into your vehicle. If the instructions at the charging station differ, first complete steps 4, 5, and 6, and only then connect the selected connector to your vehicle.
In the app, select the desired connector by scanning the QR code next to it, entering the connector code, or selecting it on the map.
Click the “Select” button.
A window will open in the app where you can add your bank card for payment (if a Petrol e-mobility card is already added as a payment method in the app, skip step 6).
After successfully entering your bank card details, a pre-authorization of charging funds will be performed.
Charging will start.
When you want to stop charging, open the active session in the app and click “Stop”.
Wait for the charging station to complete the process and disconnect the cable from your vehicle.

Charging with a Petrol Card
(Petrol Pay Loyalty Card or Petrol Business E-Mobility Card)
The video demonstrates charging with a Petrol Pay Loyalty Card (or Petrol Business E-Mobility Card) according to the following steps:
Check the charging instructions displayed at the charging station, as they may vary.
Select the connector you wish to use and plug it into your vehicle. If the instructions differ, first complete step 3 and only then connect the connector to your vehicle.
Hold your Petrol e-mobility card against the identification area on the charging station. Follow the notifications displayed on the station screen.
Charging will start.
To stop charging, hold the card against the identification area again and wait for the charging station to complete the process. At some charging stations, stopping the session must also be confirmed via the display or the corresponding buttons.
Wait until charging is completed and disconnect the cable from your vehicle.

Charging Without Registration – Ad Hoc Charging
OneCharge Web Application
When using the OneCharge web app, follow these steps:
Check the charging instructions displayed at the charging station, as they may vary.
Select the connector you wish to use and plug it into your vehicle. If the instructions differ, first complete steps 3, 4, and 5, and only then connect the connector to your vehicle.
In the app, select the desired connector by scanning the QR code, entering the connector code, or selecting it on the map.
Click the “Charge” button, check the box “I accept the Terms of Use”, and click “Continue”.
Add your bank card and click “Confirm and Pay”.
After successfully entering your bank card details, a pre-authorization of funds will be performed.
Charging will start.
When you want to stop charging, open the active session in the app and click “Stop”.
Wait for the charging station to complete the process and disconnect the cable.

Charging at the Payment Terminal Next to the Charging Station
When using the e-payment terminal:
► Starting a Charging Session:
Connect the charging cable to your vehicle and note the charger and connector designation (e.g., 3B).
On the e-payment terminal screen, select your language and then choose “Start Charging”.
Select the charger number (1, 2, 3, etc.) and the connector letter (A, B, C, etc.) where you wish to charge.
Select the charging method: by amount (€10, €20, €30, €40, etc.) or by energy quantity (10 kWh, 20 kWh, 30 kWh, etc.), and define the desired value.
Hold your payment card against the marked area and wait for charging to begin.
► Stopping a Charging Session:
On the terminal screen, select “Stop Charging”.
Select the charger number and the letter of the connector used (e.g., 3B).
Hold the same payment card that was used to start the charging session against the marked area and wait for the process to complete.
Disconnect the charging cable from your vehicle.
► Downloading an Invoice
On the e-payment terminal, select “Invoice Overview”.
Scan the displayed QR code with your mobile phone.
On the webpage opened via the QR code, enter:
the last four digits of your payment card,
the charging date.
All invoices for the selected date and card will be displayed.

Direct Purchase at a Petrol Service Station Checkout
At Petrol service stations where a charging station is available, you can purchase a specific amount of electricity (20, 30, or 40 kWh). A sales representative will activate the charging session on your behalf. Charging continues until the purchased amount of energy has been delivered, after which it automatically stops.
Steps for Purchase at the Checkout:
Park your vehicle at the charging station.
Go to the service station checkout.
Purchase the desired amount of electricity.
Our sales staff will activate the charging session for you.
Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable from your vehicle.

Charging Issues / Customer Support
The Charging Station Is Not Working – What Should I Do?
If charging does not start immediately, the most common reasons are an incorrect charging procedure, payment issues, a temporary fault, or loss of network connection. First, check:
whether the cable is connected correctly,
whether you have followed the correct charging procedure according to the instructions displayed on the charging station.

When May I Use the Emergency Stop Button and How Do I Reset It?
The emergency stop button is intended to interrupt charging in emergency situations. In the event of an accident, it immediately disconnects power to the entire charging station.
Pressing the emergency stop button in non-emergency situations is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Emergency situations include all cases that seriously endanger human life or cause significant material damage.

What Should I Do If the Charging Station Is Occupied but No Vehicle Is Charging?
If you are at a Petrol service station, inform the staff at the checkout. They will attempt to locate the person who has improperly parked a vehicle in the charging space.
